About the role
As Head of Sustainability at E.ON Energidistribution, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainability agenda. You will lead our newly established governance and support function, with three direct reports, and take responsibility for the cross-functional sustainability program within E.ON Energidistribution. In addition, you will be part of the Nordic sustainability organization at E.ON, collaborating closely with colleagues across business units and the Sustainability Director of E.ON Sweden. Your work will also contribute to broader, group-wide sustainability initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead our strategic sustainability roadmap, with a primary focus on climate. You will ensure that both our operations and our supply chain take all necessary steps to eliminate climate impact by 2035 and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030, while also helping to evolve the wider sustainability agenda.
  • Act as a program manager and lead transformation initiatives aimed at achieving our strategic goals—such as developing data platforms for climate impact tracking and decision-making support, advancing supplier development, and more.
  • Set targets and monitor progress in reducing emissions from operational activities. You will also support operational teams by providing expertise, tools, and decision-making frameworks to enable effective implementation of actions that drive both short- and long-term climate goals.

This position is a temporary position for 12 months with a preferred start date as soon as possible.


Your Experience

We are looking for a leader with a passion for sustainability and a genuine ability to lead people and drive change. You bring a strong growth mindset, a high level of engagement, and a natural ability to lead through others—with integrity, humility, and clarity. To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable navigating a complex organizational landscape, building trust across functions, and combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.

You bring strategic business insight and an understanding investment-intensive industries. Your academic background complements your leadership experience, particularly in managing change and transformation. Above all, you have the ability to inspire and influence others in pursuit of long-term, meaningful progress.
